Walking Harpers Ferry, WV

HISTORIC HARPERS FERRY WV YEAR ROUND WALKING EVENT
Worldwide Walking Club - AVA 470
AVA event yr0383

Walk the railroad bridge from West Virginia to Maryland. Here is John Brown's Fort.

This shows the park building and the Museum for Lewis & Clark Trail. The church and the steps leading down to the town. These steps are on the Appalachian Trail.

Early morning in Harpers Ferry and we had visited the Appalchian Trail Conservancy to get our WALK box in place for the new Year Round Event that started April 1, 2010.
The streets were deserted so a great time for a little picture taking. Be careful coming down these steps which is your way down from the Start/Finish area and part of the Appalachian Trail. This very neat church is at the top of the steps.
This very historic town makes a great place to walk. Here are a few building pictures that pretty well says it all!! Lewis & Clark, Appalachian Trail, C&O Canal, John Brown's Fort (which is also a Firestation from 1848), and this is also a U. S. National Park.
A great time to walk and see the sights. Hope you will join us far a walk in Historic Harpers Ferry.
Sandy, Worldwide Walking Club
